green conures
I have recently acquired (2 weeks) a pair of green conures although I don't know where one is a female and one a male. The previous owner who had a large collection of larger birds said they were always together and paired them off in a separate cage. My questions is how do I tame them to perch on my finger. Most of the time when I come near their cage, they always move to the back. I know they're afraid of me because the previous owner said they would perch on her finger. How do I get them to trust me? I offer treats but they won't come closer. Thanks for any advice.

Re: green conures
Hi Christine!
Congrats on those conures! From what I've heard, they are great!
Are the wings of your conures clipped? This makes it quite easy to tame them..
You can also make them interested by drawing their attention with something you do.. As they get curious, just reward them.. I am sure conures are very bright birds.. They might want to perch on you as you are busy?
