Sonnie was getting better there for a couple of days......
but now he's getting into some neurotic behaviors.......
he's starting to really bang his beak on his cage.....
but what's strange is he's out pretty much all day.......and his attitude is getting much worse....yesterday, he actually jumped off of his cage onto my head....and attacked my hair!!!
it freaked me out!!!!
i don't know what i'm gonna do.
I told him when I brought him home that I will never give up on him.
but I'm afraid that he's seriously not happy........

Lynzi, please please don't take this behavior personally!
Try not to give attention to the neurotic behavior. Don't tell him that he shouldn't do that.. Is there something he likes? Like a toy? You can play with that toy in front of him. If he stops being neurotic, tell him about your toy and let him feel it. If he does (even when he rips it apart) reward him and make him step up. Then you can praise him for being such a good boy.
Chances are that you encourage him to behave like that if you feel for him. It sounds strange doesn't it?
About the jumping off his cage.. Was he on top of his cage? How high is his cage? I would not let him on top of his cage if as long as he's like that.
Zazu can be a pain when he's higher than me.

it's just a little bit higher than my head when I'm sitting down, like I was.......
he won't even step up on me anymore!!!!
we were to the point where he was hanging upside down from my finger while I cradled him...and now he's gone KOOKOO BANANAS!!!
he really likes boxes....and if he has a cardboard box to rip up....he stops his beak banging....but he rips them up in one night...so I can't give them to him everyday........
oh boy.
this is hard stuff.....

Don't let him on top of his cage. He is higher than you and therefore more dominant. Give him lots of chewing toys and boxes..and try to step him up with a stick perch. Maybe its cage aggression.
Don't take it personally.
Good luck
