Little cruentata [questions]  Reply with quote

Good morning!!!
Well, i have been looking for a hand-feeded pyrrhura, but i have arrived a little bit late, i think. I have found a breeder, but he has only one little pyrrhura cruentata, as Wheezy. I don't know what to do, Because it's sooo cute... but i don't know almost anything about cruentatas - they're louder than smalller pyrrhuras? Do they bite? They're good pets? I think that they of course must be, being hand-feeded. But i don't know what to do...
if i don't buy this little cruentata, i'll have to wait like 7-8 months to have an oportunity of getting a parrot....
I'm a little bit frightened anyway because i don't know if my studies will be a problem in the care of this parrot... Sad
Aaah!! I don't know what to do! Should i wait?
Please, give me some advise...
Thank you!!!!

I'll put the picture of the little one.

If you haven't read about pyrrhura cruentata I would not recommend that you'd take one of these babies. Please wait a little longer and gather some info.. Wink
Wheezy is a little louder than most pyrrhura conures.. He can scream pretty loudly, but he doesn't do this often.
He's quite nippy, and gets angry quickly hahaha!
I think they're very cute, but I'd really recommend reading some more before taking one in. Wink

Ok, thank you very much!!!
There is very poor information about this birds in the net, and it's difficult to found books too. I couldn't found almost any pictures of them as pets, and no videos.
I thought they were louder because of their bigger size. That's a problem because i live in a flat. I will wait, as you say.
I think that owning a parrot can change your life in many ways, so it's a big responsibility. I didn't want to make a wrong decision. So thank you Wink
You should put more pictures of your little Wheezy in your diary Very Happy I love him. (Oh, i adore Scuttle too, he's just lovely)
Kiss

Hi there.. I don't know how well your walls are isolated? Wheezy does let himself be heared, but he's not that loud that it would go through walls. At least not here. Wink
Can't you visit the breeder and hear for yourself? Smile
They're still quite small. Wheezy weighs about 90 grams. I don't know how much that is in your system.

Perhaps you can place a reservation at that breeder once you have decided to get a cruentata? Smile

PS Thanks for your nice words about Wheezy. I am sure he wants to cooporate to take some pics.. Smile
