Do you like special names? Perhaps you can translate her name, or something that has to do with sun in other languages? |

I'm thinking of getting a sun conure and I've been thinking of a few names myself. If you want, you can use them..
Rio(as in rio de janeiro. known for it's beauty)
Mango
Tequila, tequila sunrise
Lily
cosmo(like the flower, maybe more of a male name)
papaya?
banana(lol)
pineapple(or maybe not^_^)
cherimoya(or Moya) looks like feathers on outside and tastes like mango, pineapple, and strawberry(so all the right colors!)
I thought the last fruit was interesting, here's a link http://www.bigy.com/content/pr.....rimoya.php
noina
oh, and Tori(bird in japanese)
ok, well some of those are maybe a little silly, but that's my suggestions for ya!^_^ |

Indigenous names are awesome. My gold cap conure is named Quetzal. Quetzalcoatl was the feathered serpent god in Aztec culture. He taught them how to cultivate corn and other various art forms. Research the area from which your conure originated from. Quetzal has a second name when she is being less than high brow, her secondary name is screech. Happy naming! |

Sunflower...
Clemintine (after the song)
Sunbeam...
Sundrop..

Or (this doeasn't have anything do w/sun) Midori, its a popular name on another bird forum. "Midori" is a melon-flavoured liquor. I like the way it sounds. |

Ok, I think we've finieshed most of the "sun" names, so during birdie playtime, I thought of more...
Lei (those flowery necklaces they wear in Haiwii)
Hula (everyone knows that..Hula Hoop )
Coronita (Corona is a beer, and it has pics of tropics and parrots, and "Coronita" is a smaller sized Corona...So I think "Corona" is a good male bird name and "Coronita" a good female one)
Apricot
Ino
Inoyasha
Chahero
Sunset (another sun name I know)
Tahiti
Kiwi
SunBird (ANOTHER sun name!! )
MaiTai (a cocktail)
I will be back with more! I gotta think of some more! |

oooh! I Thought of more!!!
ChaCha
ChiChi
Dayo (after the song..."Dayo! Dayo! Daylighyt come an' me wanna go home.." ok I'm a bad singer )
Banana Boat (another name for the song "Dayo")
Tango
Calypso
Lemme search for some Tropical names.. |
