 every morning, I put a scoop of pellets in their bowls, and a smaller scoop of gourmet parrot food atop that. at the end of the day, there will be hardly anything in Petrie's dish , only a few small seeds, pumpkin seeds, and coconut strips. There are a lot of pellets on the cage floor, but he does eat them. He always gets VERY excited at breakfast time--he'll flip around and do all sorts of crazy actrobatics and fight with his toys and squawk and he'll eat upside down too 
Is this normal?? I don't give them too much food, and he doeasn't seem pudgy.. |

I would give him unlimited access to pellets if possible.  Then he can eat all he wants. (If you give too much at a time, he might start throwing it around the room hehehe)
Wheezy eats a lot too! Iago also eats a lot and so does Scuttle. |
