| Pyrrhura's question |
|
|
Hello!!!
I'm spanish. I've been looking around for information about pyrrhuras, and i think they're just the pet for me. But i think they all are lovely, so i wanted to know if there's any specie which is better for me (oops, sorry for my english ) I would like to know whcih one is more quiet, which one is more playful, sweeter , which one likes better to nip, i don't know , those things that can make them a better pet ^^, or that could be a problem (a problem that, of course, i think, can be solved with a correct trainning)
The one's which i love more are the black capped conure, hoffman's conure, and picta picta (i don't remember the comon name of this one) But i haven't found almost any information about them as pets. So, if anyone has any of this species, or any other pyrrhura, you know... i'll be very grateful if you told some experiences with your pets
Well... Thank you very much!!
Pd: i must say i'd first fell in love with this conures in this page, iago, zazu and company are very lucky! they seem to be realy happy
Pdd: you can correct me if i've wroten something wrong... |

Hola Blacksad!
Welcome to fluffies. Where in Spain do you live?
Pyrrhuras are just awesome birds. Which kind of pyrrhura would you like? The most common are the molinaes I think?
Pyrrhuras can be noisy at times, but Wheezy, who is one of the louder conure species, is never as loud as my Senegal.
Black capped conures are the souancei?? I don't know about the hoffman conures. I know the pictas are gorgeous. They're the smallest and sooo cute!
As I told you, I live with Wheezy, a pyrrhura (cruentata). He's the largest pyrrhura and he's quite something. It's a temeramental bird, easily excited and very very playful. He also learned to turn around just a few days ago. He turns around like a ballet dancer.
Your English is ok.. Don't worry about it. |

Hi, I think your English is great! I am here in the US, so I'm not sure what Pyrrhura conures are available in Spain, but the Green Cheek are very popular over here. I don't have one, but I have heard they make wonderful pets, that's one reason they're so popular I think whether a bird is slighly more quiet, playful, sweeter, or nippy has more to do with the individual bird rather than which Pyrrhura. I think the whole Pyrrhura family makes pretty good pets... good luck

Thank you very much!
Here, in spain, pyrrhuras are not very popular. I live in Madrid, and it seems that breeders like living in the coast...
If there isn't any kind of pyrrhura "better" than the others... i don't have anything to do, because i love them all!!!
Here, in spain, there's a parrot's park where you can take and touch the parrots. I think i should visit it to decide, because parrots are sweeter mmm... when you can look at them directly, in movement...
I think they also breed a few kind of pyrrhuras ^^ i'll ask them about availability... and i wish that i could have my feathered friend soon! hehe.
Fluffie sue, as i'd said, your parrots seem to be really happy with you, and all together. ^^ And they're all beautiful... (ok, perhaps i'm just in love with all parrots.. |

Ohhh Madrid sounds like a great city!
I don't know if one of the py's is better than others.. I think it depends from bird to bird!
Please let us know when you get your py! |
