| Transporting over the border?? |

We go to the US during the summer, I read somewere that you just have to call the border and let them know your are coming with a bird, so they can call a vet over to look at the bird before you take them through the border. Is this true , or is the quarantine ABSOLUTLY nesessary?  |

Ehmm over here (in Europe) you'll have to get your bird checked by a vet some days prior to leaving the Netherlands. Depending on the country, some things are required.
I don't know what it's like in the US. |

sorry I can't really help you with your custom over there.. overhere, you need to go through hoops and loops to get your bird out of the country, and then, you can forget about bringing it home! it's impossible! |
