I just had a wonderful time going thru all - i don't think i forgot one - your diary pages. I'm not too familiar with your bird story - so you run a sanctuary for ducks etc? Way to go.
Loved all the duck, pigeon & horse photos - not to mention the parrot photos
When i was young i lived on a farm & had an old barrel-racing pinto [blk/wht] mare. Because we lived fairly close to the city boundary lots of people would try & drop off or just drop off their unwanted pets. On top of that i managed to acquire a baby Mallard Duck & a Baby Crow - both returned to the wild - their presence brought more of their kind around the house & pond so reintroduction was handled by nature.
I was amazed to see the swimming pool for the ducks! Impressive. I also loved the finch aviary. I am so jealous But seriously happy for you.
Regarding your parrots - can you tell us about their lives? How they interact & if they're trained at all? |

The house looks great Dana. What will you do with the one you are living in right now? Do the birds have their own room or is it the garage? What happens to the ducks and geese and their pool? How soon do you move in to the new house. |

Thanks for showing us your new home. That is one big project. Very handsomely done. Are
Basements
not done in your area? I was surprised at the concrete slab - my parents have a similar home - of course my brother has filled their basement with all his stuff, much to my father's horror.
That sun room sounds grand. When i saw your ceiling fans i instantly thought 'nice chew toys'.
Glad to see some updates - keep them coming. |

No we don't have too many basements here . I guess some people have them but not to common because of the make up of the soil I guess, very sandy.
LOL I am not to worried about the fans as I am Romeo getting up into the high area in the living room and not wanting to come down. i told my husband I guess if Romeo gives me a hassel about it I will have to have his wings clipped, but I hope we won't have to do that. He si pretty good about just flying and landing on his play gyms or going with me where ever I am in the house. We shall see... |
