Dublin, I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved ZuZu. It will be some time for you and Gryffin to come to terms with her loss. You will never get over it. ZuZu will always be in your heart and you will always have those memories of her. A diary page in her honor is the best thing to help with your grief. I know what you are going though, I lost my sweet tiel Digger suddenly last year. It still pains me, I miss him greatly. I always stop to look at my most beloved pics of him that I had framed. I also had a memorial framed shadow box made with a photo and his favorite bell toy and an assortment of his feathers I had saved when he molted.
Did you save any of ZuZu's feathers? I am so glad that I have saved the molted feathers from my 3 parakeets we had years ago and of my tiels now and my senegal. I will always have a part of them with me forever.
It will take time, but you will be able to talk about your baby and share photos without breaking down and crying. But you will always have that ache in your heart for ZuZu.
You and Gryffin are in my prayers. ZuZu and my Digger along with my keets, Petey, Sydney and Sunni are all in Rainbow Heaven waiting for the day when we join them. |

I am always sadden to hear of a loss in the bird world. It is a shame to loss so much love in such a small package. If love were measure by the pound, oh what a wonderess thought....
Thinking of you and yours, and wishing there was something we could do or say...
