So sorry to hear about Sharkey.
I think the people who found your Bird had no idea of what is involved with taking care of a bird and the risks involved with other house pets.I did alot of reading before I got my birds, but was still shocked at the response my Mom's very kind gentle dog gave them the first time they met, she could also have killed them.I am quite ignorant about dogs and how to look after them. A bird for them and their dog was a new experience, how could they know?.

Not yet Sue. Maxi has been a bit depressed lately. My mom is still in a nursing home and hasn't been home in four months. She wasn't here for his birthday. Kacey is keeping Maxi's spirits up best she can. It is so sweet, Maxi was there for her during her healing process with her broken wing and now she is repaying the favor. Kacey has bounced back and gained weight. They all go to the vet on Tuesday for wings, nails and checkups. Kacey's wing still must be monitored due to the lump on it, it does give her pain but she isn't letting it get her down. I have lots of pics that I have finally downloaded onto my computer but haven't gotten around to updating diary pages as yet. I will though. |

HI PARROT POTTY. THANKS FOR THE COMPLIMENT ON THE WEDDING PICS. I CAN'T CLAIM ANYTHING FOR THE PICS. A FRIEND DID THEM FOR ME. I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DO THAT STUFF. I BELONG TO THE BIRD CHANNEL AND I HAVE A PAGE FOR EACH OF MY BIRDS. MY SENNIE SWEETPEPPER HAS A BOYFRIEND WHO LIVES IN CALIFORNIA AND THEY HAD BEEN DATING ON THE BC FOR OVER A YEAR SO THEY GOT MARRIED. THEY ALSO WENT ON A HONEYMOON TO AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND. I HAVEN'T POSTED THE HONEYMOON PICS YET. I DO WISH I KNEW HOW TO DO THAT STUFF, I HAVE TRIED AND FAILED.

Hi, I just had a look at your diary pages, until now I had only seen your Homepage.
Reading about all of Kacey's problems was sad, especially the part about Sweet Pepper biting her ! But I know how Senegals are, and a cockatiel is not as strong as a Senegal, so I can understand that she got hurt. Fortunately she healed alright
And Sharkey's story was soooooooooooooo sad. Your sister must have been desperate, after so many years of living together, then he flies away, and just when she thinks she's very luckily got him back, he get's killed in such a terrible way ! Very sad indeed...
I hope I'll never have such problems with my little brat birds...
Thanks for checking in on Boris and Lola's homepage by the way !!
Bye !!

HI MARIE. SO GLAD TO HEAR FROM YOU. I JUST WENT AND GOT CAUGHT UP ON THE BORIS AND LOLA STORY. I LOVE THEIR PICTURES AND WOW WHAT A HUGE CAGE YOU GOT FOR THEM BOTH. YOU SHOULD STILL KEEP BORIS' OLD CAGE JUST IN CASE YOU EVER NEED IT AGAIN.
THE GREAT NEWS WITH KACEY IS, SHE IS NOW 4 YEARS OLD. WE DIDN'T THINK SHE WOULD MAKE IT TO AGE 3. SHE STILL HAS MEDICAL PROBLEMS AND NEEDS CALCIUM SHOTS EVERY 3 MONTHS FROM HER VET. SHE HAS A SHORT TAIL, HER LONG TAIL FEATHERS JUST WON'T GROW IN. THE OTHER TIEL, MAXI, IS NOW 17 YEARS OLD AND IN GREAT CONDITION. HE STILL LOVES TO PLAY. MY SENNIE, SWEETPEPPER IS MY SWEET BABY AND NOW 6 1/2 YEARS OLD. SHE IS MY SUNSHINE. THANKS FOR STOPPING BY. I NEED TO UPDATE THEIR HOMEPAGE AND ADD MORE DIARY PAGES.
