Lucy came to live with us last winter after the New Year and we were in love already. After visiting her in the bird shop several times, we had to bring her home. She has been a sweet, loving, shy, mild bird from day one. I have even worried that these other birds scared her. She was about 9 months old and had been in that shop for months with other birds and lots of people but she hardly ever came out of her cage and only wanted me to hold and pet her. Not much playing but would chew toys if in her cage. Well, all has changed!!Last week, I built her this perch. The first day she acted like Lucy always has. The next day I took her to it and she was happy to step up. Within 30 minutes it started... She acts lie a Cockatoo!! These videos tell it all. I haven't enjoyed something o much in a long time. All our fids are special in thier on way but none have surprised me like Lucy!! The first video is of the Lucy we have loved from day one. The others are from the past few days and is really only part of our wonderful day!
