Visit to the Teich Bird Reserve Arcachon (France) Teich Bird Reserve is a protected nature reserve managed to attract wild birds so that the public can observe them. 120 hectares present a variety of habitats : forest, reedbeds, meadows, saltmarsh, etc. This richness of habitats naturally attracts a large range of bird species which either inhabit these areas permanently (resident species) or visit on a more temporary basis (migratory species). 260 species have been recorded in the reserve, 80 of which breed there. Here's a map of the reserve : Here are a few photos of my visit there : White stork (Ciconia ciconia)      Mallard duck (Anas platyrhynchos) Little ringed plover (Charadrius dubius) Common Shelduck (Tadorna tadorna) Little Egret (Egretta garzetta) Common Sandpiper (Tringa hypoleucos) Great crested grebe (Podiceps cristatus) Common coot (Fulica atra) Greylag goose (Anser anser) A nice photo where lots of different species are seen together (Grey Heron, Little Egret, White Spoonbill, Shelduck, etc) And here's a green lizard!
