Recommended books on parrots It's not always easy finding good books on parrots, but I have quite a few now, and some I highly recommend! So here you go : - Guide to the Senegal parrot and its family, Mattie Sue Athan
With lots of cute pictures, interesting advice and fun anecdotes, this book is a must-have for Senegal owned people.
- Guide to a well-behaved parrot, Mattie Sue Athan
A good book for people who have behaviour problems with their bird or who want to avoid such problems. Also helps to understand your parrot better (body language, etc).
- Teaching parrots with positive reinforcement, Tani Robar
Loads of easy to advanced tricks to teach your parrot. Teaching tricks helps stimulate your bird and build a stronger relationship.
- Spix's macaw : The race to save the world's rarest bird, Tony Juniper
A very interesting book that tells the tragic story of Spix's macaw (Cyanopsitta spixii), which was already rare when it was discovered in 1819, and trapping for trade rapidly decimated the wild population.
