First Photos of Jennie 1/5/06 Her first day with us She's remained somewhat scared for the evening & clung to the side of the cage for dear life! But I also saw her tugging on the ropes of the toy I hung in her cage, & I also saw her nibbling at her food. We had to keep her in Poppys old cage for the first few hours until we had a chance to run out & get her a new cage

this is her new cage which cost $160

1-6 I opened the top of Jennies cage for a bit today & she was very anxious to come out! I left it open for her most of the day, but have decided that from now on, she will have to earn her way out by stepping up, all just part of basic training.
At first, I thought she had been eating, but after watching her closely yesterday, I realized that although she was sitting on her food bowl, she was not eating at all., which was of great concern to me. But after I returned from a couple hours of shopping last evening, she was eating & actually continued eating for the rest of the evening! She's just been quite adorable to watch. I can see that she is craving attention, she comes right to me & leans toward me & cheeps at me whenever I'm talking to her, but after a couple of good hard bites that drew blood, I'm waiting for a bit before attempting physical contact again! She's been playing real good on her toys, which I'm very happy to see! I even played a little bit of tug-of-war with her with one of her toys. She seems to be settling well so far & has been very active. 1/12 Today was Jennies one week anniversary with us! We celebrated by giving her a shower with a spray bottle & she just loved it! So did I! I had an absolute riot with her!

After I had given her some time to preen & dry off, I petu her back in her cage & filled her food & water bowls & she hasn't stopped bathing in her water bowl since!
