Getting to Know Jennie

I've been having such a good time getting to know Jennie, the new baby of the family

Everyday seems to be something new & exciting with her!  And she really seems to be having a good time getting to know me too.  She just doesn't seem at all scared of new things, the unfamiliar noises, smells, comings & goings, or anything.

She's nibbling on a treat in the photo above, which she has no problem taking from my hand, tho she still wont step up on my finger. 

I've been letting her out of her cage quite a bit, which she really seems to love, & she climbs right up to the top of it.  Once in awhile she'll lose her balance on the bars & fly down to the floor.  At which point she will step on my hand when I retrieve her.  And then, rather than put her right back on her cage, I use the opportunity to sit with her on my arm for awhile & then I use a wooden dowel to put her back on, or in her cage.  She loves chewing newspaper & is content to sit on my arm for awhile chewing strips.
