Hello everyone!! My name is Chaquita and I am a Yellow Naped Amazon.

My Mom adopted me on June 6, 2005. I'm about 26 years old. I was, at one

time, a wild and free bird until I got captured.   I'm a pretty bird, don't you

think?

Here I am trying mom's lipstick. Is it my color? I like to help mom get ready

for work so I make sure all the make-up is in order.

I used to step-up like this a long time ago, but then everyone became too busy

and I stopped doing all my tricks. Mom has to teach me all over again. I stepped-up

onto her hand only days after being with her. I think I like my new mom.

After about a week mom could scratch my head. I missed that   But I needed

to know if I could trust her. She wants me to do some silly stuff sometimes,

but I'll give in when I'm ready.
