All the "parrotlovers" fids together!

My friend and I made a website called Parrotlovers. My friend has 2 budgies named Blueberry and Sprite, and I have, of course, my darling Senegal Parrot, Cheekie Kon-Tiki (click here to see his blog), my budgie Figaro and my fiery-shouldered conure Petrie. My friend brought her budgies over and all our fids were finally together! Sadly, I forgot to remind my friend to bring here camera, but maybe next time, so I'll describe the events that happened.

Figaro, my budgie, fell in instant love with Sprite. Fig is a girl and Sprite is a boy, and Blueberry, Sprite's gal, is a girl. So Fig would like attack Blue at every chance she got, so she needed to go into her cage, while Blue and Sprite sat a top their cage, and we put Fig's close to theirs to look at them. Cheekie and  Petrie, the bigger guys, got to sit on the couch with my friend and I. Blue came over to sit with us, and so I let Fig out. She and Sprite when together. They began whistling (well fig mostly) and kissing, and Sprite even tryed to reguritate! Poor little Blue was watching this! Luckily she was good about it. I gave Sprite and Fig some millet to share, and a piece of treat stick to Cheekie and Petrie, and Blue seemed content cuddling with my friend. But Blue wanted a treat so I gave her the last piece of millet, and she ate a bit then threw it under the couch!

Blue kept trying to make friends and steal the treat stick piece from the bigger guys. We had to watch out tho, as if Cheekie (or petrie for that matter) got mad, the could really hurt Blue, maybe even kill her! So we had to watch him.

*sigh* Then theres the wing clipping plight. The my friends keets werent clipped, so she asked me to clip them and I did, I clipped them both the same way. Well, the awful thing was Sprite hated it, and while I was clipping Blue, he started chewing at his wings!! So next thing I knew, Sprite had been chewing his wings so he chewed down to the blood feathers! So I look up only to see blood on his wings. Then, I had a total brain burp and forgot what to do with a broken blood feather!!! So I grabbed some kleenex, and grabbed Sprite (who objected by biting me a couple hundred times and screaming his head off) and plopped him into the sink, and turned on the water (I had no idea why I was doing that, out of panic I guess, even tho I acted calm, not to spook the birds, I was panicing on the inside). Then I remembed what to do about bleeding toenails. So I grabbed for a bar of soap, and scraped the feathers on it (BTW it was only one wing she chewed at) and the bleeding stopped. But the little raving lunitic bird got the soap off. I repeated this several times, scraping the feathers on the soap, until I started wishing I had QuickStop and then it hit me--FLOUR! We had flour! So I filled a little bowl with flour and dipped her feathers in it--and they stopped bleeding. But I had to dip it in every once and a while due to the fact the flour would wear off. So when my friend left, I told her to monitor Sprite and dip the feathers in flour when they started bleeding. Now I am going to memorize what to do to broken blood feathers to stop it right away.

And little Fig was sad to see Sprite go, even tho she has an internet boyfriend already--Ickle Fickle Pickle Wickle the green budgie!
