Thirfty Parrot Shopping **Note: Hi, If the time that I posted this says I posted it at 12:00 am, it's wrong, I have no idea why. ** Today I went by the Salvation Army, and there were two cages outside. I didn't look that closely, because I had errends to do uptown, but I decided I should get Petrie a travel cage (I let his preivous owner keep his, she was already giving me so much). But after My errends were done and I went to go look at the cages, I passed a Thirft Shop that had a circular cage with feeding cups, toys, perches etc. in it. I almost bought it but birds don't like circular cages, they like corners to hide in. So I left that cage and went to the Salvation Army. I looked at the Hampster Cage, and thought about it, it would make a nice carrier. But then I found out it costed $5.00 and it was bent and warped in places, and pretty dirty , so I put it down and looked at the little bird cage. It had a bright red plastic roof, and a pretty nice little cage, but it was too small and Petrie would probably get his tail bumped up in it. So I checked another they had and it was a wreck, it meant to be in the trash, not a store . So I decided I'ld keep my eyes open, and buy a new cage if it came to that. But instead I bought a bag of baby toys for $2.00, and the fids and I are happy with it . -Haley ***Update- I just saw a nice cage there. I'm going to check it out today. I have a lot of cages ! there's Cheekie's, Petrie's, Figaro's, cheekie's travel cage, Cheekie's cage for the birdsitter's, petrie's cage for the birdsitter's. I don't have a travel cage for fig because you can carry her cage even though it is a big cockatiel cage, it doeasn't have a stand nor is heavy like the others. ***Update- They sold the Travel cage I was looking at. Ah well. The flea market always has lots.
