Concha's & Frisky play stand No 1 for my first diary page i would like to show you one of my play stands .they are not completed yet,but i hope they may give you ideas on how to do it yourself.this one is an old cage stand the triangular frame legs where braced but fell apart so rather than throw it out i cut 2 lengths of timber dowl, i drilled the legs through and screwed the dowl in place to act as leg braces then drilled the upper frame section to fit perches. next was to make the base as i wanted to place a living plant under the stand and be able to move it about in my kitchen that done, i needed to fit small rollers under base now i needed to insure the stand would not come off the base so i drilled through the timber at the angle of the legs, then fitted legs into base ,next a very small drill hole through timber into and through the legs and hammered in a small nail to insure legs would not leave base now i will let the pictures do the talking . i still have to work on it paint edges make toys ect. p/s the plant is an australian grevilla not ment for indoors if you use this idea i would suggest you should have two, one inside the other out to keep the plants growing talk to your nursery man regarding plant care.........................................................................................
