************************************************************** Nov. 18, 2008 No updates in a while.... i've been busy with school!! Whats new... I am engaged, babie has fun with my fiancee, especially trying to bite him! They are good friends. :] I try to keep her socialized so she will go to anyone..
Peanut got a little territorial in the event of me buying one large cage for the two of them to share. I purchased a stacker apartment cage i leiu of him attacking me. He is much happier, i couldnt be more pleased with the way he treats me now!!! It's a love hate relationship. :] I love him all the same. Babie's vocabulary is quickly expanding, from 'hi there' to 'hello babie!', she is a typical red belly... chases things that arent there, talks to herself in the corner, etc. a hoot just to listen to. Maybe if i catch her mid-chatter, ill record it. But for now, you can USE YOUR IMAGINATION. I know its vivid!! :] I am POSITIVE she is a SHE, but i have had no DNA done, im going based on her feather colors, she has been turning more grey, losing a bit of the orange. Let me know what you all think next time i post a good picture of her colors.
********************************************** 2/22/09 unfortunately(and ive been holding this off for too long) peanut is going batty to breed. he's lost it. :/ i am turning him over to a breeder to live his life out in an outdoor aviary with a girlfriend!! to be honest, i would keep him and get him a friend and a cage for the two of them to be peaceful and have room to themselves, but i am not in a financial situation as a student to do that. truthfully, its what he wants, he will not leave my red belly alone and he is untouchable now. trust me ive tried every thing. >:O after months of trying to retrain him and suffering multiple mutilations down to the bone, i am letting go. im not sad, i know its nature calling, and i especially don't want to ruin the special bond between me and my red belly. Well im off to slumber land. to dream of new cages and peanuts new girl! hope shes cute, he has standards. NOT! :p and babie's newest phrase is pretty pretty birdy. took her a week to learn and she wont stop saying it. go figure. i did get babie a new tree, when i have some spare time i will take some pictures! :] ************************************************************* 4/22/09 **NEW** Videos of Babie! Babie talks, meows, preens, dances, and flips. funny videos. ************************************************************************** 6/8/09 I have now just turned 21 (yesterday) and surprise to me i have been given the oppourtunity to "foster" and eventually own a macaw! His name is Larry, and he is a hefty harlequin mac. I love him so much. He is so fun, and loves my fiance too :]. I will post pictures as soon as i get some!!! Keep watching my page for updates on Larry coming home.   ****************************** 6/10/09 Well unfortunately the original owner still wnats him, so we get to enjoy Larry for the rest of the week til he goes back to his first house. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted :/ ************************************************** 6/18/09 odin, our bronze wing pionus baby, will be joining our household soon!! i will keep the page updated on his trip home!!!
