February 14, 2007: My father has recieved word that he is changing jobs, sunny ARIZONA. Born and raised, sent to VA, this place sucks, we needed a change!! Trouble is, I have 12 cockatiels [love half of 'em, the rest are quiet breeders] , a nanday[was my sisters, she gave up], a senegal[my baby, never giving him up], a dog, a cat..... geeze i cannot imagine forcing that many cockatiels in a car with a cat, and a dog!! Fortunately, i found great homes for all my 'tiels, the nanday, and its off to arizona for good!! [This means more room for Peanut(my senegal) to stretch his wings! hehe] Hardest part so far--- figuring out which airline will ACCEPT animals, aaand finding a good travel cage for Peanut. I think i have an old finch cage that will do just that.... hmm. Until next time! Februaury 25, 2007SO! we are moving cross country in a few months!! We will be driving, so no worries with the airlines phew!!  From snowy Virginia to sunny Arizona, we can't wait!! We [Annaleza and peanut] have had to say good bye to most of our birdie brothers and sisters and find them wonderful homes. FORTUNATELY, Peanut still has friends to bug, Kitty Pants the cat[you guessed it!] who's 1 And Havoc, shes 6, so not so havocy anymore thank god!! hehe December 28, 2007
Here is the closing of year coming so fast!!! In a nutshell, we have finally made it to our new house in arizona!!! aaaaand! surprise surprise!! i am now employed at a local bird store. who would have guessed??? haha. I have an amazing oppourtunity to work with an awesome assortment of birds including[but not limited to] many macaws, cockatoos, amazons, greys, poicephalus, pionus, conures, finches, lovebirds, and even canaries!!! We also get to board birds for humans to have a bit of a getaway, but our birds are spoiled rotten!!! a massive flat screen tv with cartoons all day, playgym time, fresh rice, fruits and veggies!! the works!! I enjoy my job alot :] I do have a few pictures in the works, they are on someone elses camera though, so please be patient as i try to buy a camera hehe. upon moving to arizona, i have also become an avid hummingbird and arizona sap sucker watcher :]
