July Parrot Outing
Finally, as promised, a report on a parrot outing! Although the turnout is not full force, its still considerably respectable. Thanks to Fred and his girl friend who graciously hosted this outing and for making it possible. And thanks to all my friends and their parrots at MOPA (Ministry of Parrots, Singapore). Its an enjoyable evening albeit a tiring one. The Parrots
Disco, the green nape rainbow lorikeet. He's the parrot host (belongs to Fred, the host) for this outing. Unfortunately for Disco, he's not too hospitable to the other birds and have to be caged. :)

Dennis's peachfaced lovebirds. A dutch blue and a lutino at the back.
A closeup look at the beautiful dutch blue!

Two adorable babies from breeder Henry's lovebird flock.
Rahman's recently adopted peach faced lovebird.

Joti's lutino cockatiel. What an angel! A very peaceful bird that loves to hang on to joti's shoulders wherever he goes. Pipi the Sun conure (background) and Tara the Jenday conure (foreground). They bring sunshine to us any day!
The aratinga conure trio. From front to back: Pipi, Riki and Tara.

The 3 quaker musketeers.
This is Kelvin's Yoda. This guy loves to lie on its back and enjoy a massage by people. As illustrated here, he's in parrot heaven!
Kelvin's Yoda, an alien?
Toto, Rachel's Hahn's Mini macaw. This cheeky guy talks up a storm during the outing! note the fluffy down on the wing...recently got into an inexplicable plucking habit. Fortunately, it didn't extend or got worst. Manfred's African Grey. We have lots of friends who have greys but this time round, only one turned up for the gathering.
Kenneth's cute male baby eclectus.
Eclectus. Chilling out with the African Grey.
Manfred's Eleonora medium sulphur cockatoo. This cutie pie loves to spread his wings when the wind's blowing...he's flying! :)
A closeup on the same lovely cockatoo.
Baby, my recently adopted Blue and Gold macaw. Note the rugged feathers...the results of feather chewing which I'm trying to remedial since I adopted her. Thanks Rane for providing me with this beautiful closeup of Baby! The People

Fred, our generous host! Thank you for planning the venue and preparing for the bbq food and all!!
Kelvin, the quaker man. One of these quakers, Yoda, belongs to him.
Rane, the other photographer with Tara, my Jenday conrue.
Stephanie and Tiffany getting swooned by the handsome male eclectus.

Our parrot outing attracted quite a number of visitors and spectators. This lady is one of them.
Dennis with Fred's green nape lorikeet.
Ray freaking Rane out with Baby. Such gigantic lens require a big bird's "help".
Thats me taking photos with my Nikon dslr 70s.
Fred working with his lorikeet, a truly playful and funny character. *Apologies to all my other friends whom I fail to capture on film! Sorry Kenneth, Rachel, Vanan, Nicholas, Leong and others whom I missed photographing! My only excuse is that my attention is too caught up with the birds. Thank you for viewing.
Caged asiatic songbird, a Sharma in an apartment just next to the outing venue.
