After having Regan for almost a month I find her to be still nervous. She moves around alot more then I've seen her do at the pet store but she's still on edge. She doesn't appear to be interested in toys at all it seems she would much rather be with me which is kind of sweet but at the same time she's not going to get excercise by sitting on my shoulder. She also makes more noise now then she did at the pet store, only occasionally loud. she likes to have her head rubbed it's so cute, she likes to hang upside down in her cage and pretty much travels around in the cage that way lol. After bringing her home I have to say I don't regret it for a minute! My son loves her, everytime the bird flys off my shoulder and onto the floor my son tries to grab her and regan not knowing what's happening runs to my feet, my hands are busy keeping my 10 month old son from grabbing my poor bird. But all in all I think going with the meyers parrot was the smartest decision I have made. The only advice I can give is before you buy ANY animal is to RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH!!!!!!!!!!!! or you'll end up getting an animal/pet that you'll end up giving away and there are too many homeless animals now. I learned my lesson after buying a Jack Russell Terrier, don't get me wrong I loved her very much but she was worse in energy then the energizer bunny, I had to give her to a family who had a house with a backyard and who had time to train her. I'm the worst dog trainer in the world, but my point is if you don't research then your animal friend will end up homeless and I would like, no, I would love to see every animal in the world with a home who isn't being abused or neglected. O.K done with the surmon thanks for reading and remember what I said. The End.
