REGAN MY MEYERS PARROT

I started my bird obsession with wild birds, I had bird feeders on the balcony and I sat and watched them come and go.

Although I liked the birds it wasn't what I wanted. I wanted a bird but I was about to take a 3 week vacation so getting a

bird then wasn't going to work for me, with having to buy all the things they needed and the cost of the bird and vet bills

it was a real bad time. I was however making a pest of myself at super pet visiting all the birds, I saw Regan sitting in the bottom

cage looking scared and lonely. She was quiet though everytime I visited her she never made a peep, asking to hold her

was where I made my mistake from that moment she was mine, she was $849.00 and like I said I was about to go on

vaccation so it was a bad time for getting a bird but luck was on my side. My boyfriend put the down payment on her

and the store said she was still being handfed so she couldn't leave the store for about 2 weeks anyway so they said

they would hold her the extra week as long as we knew that we could not exchange the bird, refund or money and such.

Well I couldn't say no for all I know the bird would have been sold by the time I got back, it was a done deal. She was

bought and throughout my entire vaccation I couldn't wait to get home to see my baby Regan. Regan took to me right

away, somewhat took to my boyfriend, I was going to call her Zoey but I didn't know the sex of the bird and wasn't sure

when I would find out so I wanted to call her something that went both ways and so the name Regan came and stuck.

I figure it's a whole lot better then what the pet store was calling her, they were calling her Karroo. And that is the story

of how Regan and I came together, I hope it wasn't to boring. The End.
