Rainbow Bridge Photo's
The first one to fly over the rainbow bridge is our Arie Kanarie (*2001 +02-2004). Sadly we haven't got a single picture of him. We found him in his bath after a weekend away. We buried him in the back garden of our previous home. The thing that we still remember is the way he loved to eat cucumber. Size didn't matter to him average was 1 minute to finish. The second one to go was Chippie (* 01-2004 +28-06-2005) our beloved Lovebird. He was the curious one of the two lovebirds we got after Arie. He loved to investigate the things we had in our hands. He also liked to help in the kitchen. Like watching very closely how I cut the vegetables if possible with his beak between the knife and the vegetable. His flying skills were those of a fighter pilot, sometimes kamikaze pilot. Very fast and agile. He died after a short illness (about 4 days). We were going to take him to the vet but we were too late. He’s buried in the back garden of our present home. Here is his picture, you can tell he’s ill. The third one the go was our Bob (*05-2005 +20-09-2005). We got him as a new companion for Peaches. A bright blue lovebird. We didn’t notice his chipped beak. It grew back. He ate and drank but managed to die off malnutrition. It came as a shock to us. He staid with us for just 10 weeks. We never found out his gender or seen him take full flied. He’s buried next to Chippie. Here he is standing tall on the kitchen counter. The forth one was our Woody (*03-2005 +27-09-2005). We went to the pet store to get a new lovebird. We came home with a lovebird and a Meyer parrot. We got him on a Saturday he died Tuesdays after. Long infection. This was the hardest and quickest one. It looked like he was getting settled in just fine. He started preening on Sunday and would come over to get a nut from us. Here’s one of the few photo we have of him. We still love them all and are sad that we had to part from them.
