Good Evening!

Well, no doubt some of you will have heard, Mummy in her wisdom  has just got rid of my garden playroom

But in fairness, she promises me that there are ‘bigger and better things coming for me’

I wait with baited beak…

So. This morning I awoke to a lot of huffing and puffing

Nosey Parker is on the prowl and oh, a big cardboard box…

Aha right, What’s all this about then? Hmmm .. Looks interesting!

It looks nice now its all together

Here’s one that looks like it     Mmmm Smart eh?

And YES, you guessed Just as we parrots do, I refused point blank  to go anywhere near it.

Remember, I’m still in a mood about the playroom and we sulk when  we don’t get our own way and that can go on for two weeks or more.

Its been a week and a half .. Progress is slow

All day Mummy tried

Trying to get me to land there… Encouraging me.

NOTHING .. I did NOTHING

Well I may have pushed it too far,because about 5pm I think Mummy had just about had enough and she told me that I could ‘please myself’ and that she was going to “find a parrot that would appreciate it, because I so obviously didn’t.”

I have to admit its around this time that I thought Id better start to show willing, stop sulking and get my backside on that stand quicker than Iv ever done anything in my life before.

As she walked out to the kitchen I made a beeline for the door, turned mid flight and landed right on the top perch of the stand.  That got a reaction .. "GOOD BOY! GOOD BOY! That’s exactly what I wanted you to do all along! I KNEW you could do it.Oh Bless you! GOOD BOY George!"

I couldn’t have her think Id done it cos she told me to, so in my own cute’n’coy way I flew back onto my cage

“I told Aunty Pauline you’d be on that stand before the end of the day! I KNEW you could do it, I’m so proud of you!” she said

Oh no! I thought “That’s me well and truly caught out.Cant have that!”

Just then I realised the next temptation was looming and far too difficult to resist...

I gleefully stepped forward to start the next job in hand!

Us parrots LOVE to make a mess.,.. Especially ME..

I love my fruit.. I couldn’t ignore this

I’d cleverly noted that the fruit bowl on the stand was full, it had been there the whole day trying to tempt me to land nearby. Well, this just encouraged me further

Much encouragement! Who could resist this temptation?

I got back on the perch, and carried on doing what we do best..

Sat there (GOOD BOY!) launching the contents of the bowl into the atmosphere with such gusto … And then, with bowl completely empty and fruit all over the floor.. I lifted out the bowl and threw that

And with an unearthly sounding CRASH it hit the floor

Mummy laughed!
