Merlin's Apple Bobbing "Toy"

To make you need:

Large bead, pop cap with a hole, large metal washer, or something like that.

Bird safe string or rope. I used braided rafia.

A clip or other way to hang. you could just use the end if the rope and a knot

A screwdriver

An apple, of course!

How:

1.Tie a big knot in one end of the rope, big enough not to go through the hole of whatever bead etc you are using.

2.Thread the rope through the bead or pop cap with a hole.

3. Poke a hole through the apple with the screw driver.

4. Thread the string through the apple so the apple rests on the bead or pop cap.

5. Attatch hook and hang, or simple tie to cage bars where you want to hang. For "novice" birds hang it where they can push it against the wall and get bites. For more advanced birds hang it where they have to really work at it... it can keep them occupied for a while!

6. Wash the screwdriver so your signifigant other, mom, or dad, doesn't have a fit when they fid it full of apple bits LOL

8. Take pics of your bird enjoying their bobbing apple! (I still haven't got to step 8 yet hehe)
