Zwanenwater (wetlands) Zwanenwater, the Netherlands. An area of shifting and fixed sand-dunes along the mainland coast, with humid dune-slacks, two lakes, coastal marshes, and woodland. Birds: A traditional breeding colony of the Eurasian Spoonbill. (Platalea leucorodia) Mew Gull (Larus canus) Iago and Flit joined us on our walk. Iago wasn't pleased. (He never is, he thinks this bird watching stuff is nonsense as he thinks he is the most interesting bird in the world) Flit, on the other hand loved the whole walk. He answered other birds and wanted to see everything we saw!
