As some of you know I am originally from Australia, I moved to the U.S. a few months over 2 years now. I have an avid interest in wild birdlife, part of this interest came from my Grandfather's unusual hobby of banding birds. He would catch birds in a fine net, and gently untangle them and put them in a bag so he could take them inside the house to weigh and measure them before putting on a little metal band around their legs. He never ever hurt the birds, even if they took a chunk out of his fingers, hehe. Anyway enough of my ramblings, here are a few of the birds I miss (Note: I got these pictures off the internet, these aren't my personal photographs): From left to right: White eye, Blue faced Honeyeater, Superb Blue Fairy Wren (Female and Male), Rainbow Lorikeet
Noisy Miner and a Butcherbird
Crested Pigeon
Straited Pardalote
Galah
Sulfur-crested Cockatoo
Pale-headed Rosella
King Parrot (male)
