hmmm...beak  Reply with quote

ok so I took a close look at Jazzy's beak today, he hasn't been having any trouble eating or anything but sometimes it makes a kind of cracking sound like its breaking when he chews on thin stuff like paper of cloth. and it kind of looks like its chipping away Confused what should I do? if you need a picture I can probably get one. is this a disease like pisitacosis or what Shocked I hope not! I just got him but he is my BEST FRIEND!!

Hmm, it's very hard to see exactly what you mean by a post, and not quite sure what sort of cracking you are hearing... but remember some flaking and chipping of the beak is normal with growth. If you haven't already, it's always best to take any new bird or pet to the vet for a new pet exam even if it looks perfect Smile
