i read in a book while i was at the vet today that greys should have a light above there cage i was going to mention it to the vet but i forgot what do you all think and have any of you got one over your cage. |

Yep, I have full spectrum lights fixed above all my bird cages. |

I've heard this too. As till today, I still don't have full spectrum light.
My birds go outside regularly.. |

i don't have any full spectrum lighting for any of my birds. All it is is that it provides the birds with UV ray for Vitamins D which is essential for birds calcium absorbsion. As long as your birds are getting at least half an hour of sun each week, then it's ok. i make sure my birds get sunlight every so often during the week. |
