we have a female budgie who has severe scaly face, her cere is literaly growing over her nostril, we've tried everything!! mineral oil, petrolium jelly... you name it!!! right now we don't know whether or not she can even breath out of her nostrils!!! please someone reaply!!! |

Did you try vitamin E? Can you get in touch with a homeopathic vet or someone who uses homeopathy on people? (I assume you already went to your vet and tried his medicine; or did the vet tell you to euthanize your bird?) |

Scaley face is one of the easiest treatable disease in budgie.
If it is really scaley face, go to your vet and ask for invermectin drop on treatment, if they don't have it, they will have injection treatment for the bird which will do the job as well.
Are you sure it is scaley face? have you got a pic of the cere to show me? |
