| Very concerned: my cockatiel has sticky poops, what to do? |

Hello all,
I'm new here. I have 2 female cockatiels for over 2 years now. One is healthy and one has never been in good health since I've got her. She always looks tired and sleeps all day long while I suspect she can not sleep at night as she poops a lot during the night while the healthy one only poops when she wakes up in the morning. She has been to 2 different vets and they both gave up on her. The vets have tried every single antibiotic on her. The only one that seemed to work is Zosyn. We inject it into her every now and then when she's not well at all. Lately, about a month, her poops have gotten very sticky. They stick to her butt, they don't fall out at all! I have to clean her twice a day now, I'm very concerned and don't know what to do. Any advice or anyone who encountered this problem before, I would greatly appreciate your comments.
TIA!
PS: her eyes are clear and she eats well, although she's very picky! She eats mostly seeds, they have to be the same ones. Whenever I try to change, even a brand name seed, she would not eat and starve herself! |
