my husband has me worried sick he said he saw something crawling on sweet pea i have looked but cant see anything but is there anything i could buy to put on her just in case she is an african grey and is 17 weeks old she has a shower every day and her cage is cleaned every time she poo,s in it he said he wasant sure but he thinks he did please help  |

I would go to an avian vet asap. Chances are it's parasites.. If you don't know what kind of parasite chances are you treat the wrong one.

thanks for your help i took sweet pea to this vet when we first had her to get advice on feeding and care of her and i found them very helpfull so i will try and get her in to see them as soon as poss if she does have them how could she have picked them up or would she have had them when we purchased her she was kept with a lot of other birds greys, and other types. |

she was fine it was a false alarm he gave her a good check over put some of her feathers under a microscope to check properly but there was no signs of anything i am so relieved he said she was a lovely healthy and gentle bird |
