Shirin,
I read another post of yours where you said how male doves will fight. I had no idea how territorial doves were!

I am so sorry to hear that now that you are attached to the little bird, you can't keep him! Crying or Very sad

Good luck finding a good home for him Smile ...how about just getting another cage?

oh, well him and KeeshMeesh don't live in cages Razz They have the whole apartment. It's not so bad now, like earlier today they started hitting eachother and I had to put them in seperate rooms, but then later they were preening eachother again and being affectionate. But once the baby reaches sexual maturity, it'll be almost impossible to have them in the same room together. Like KeeshMeesh and his Dad can't be in the same room or they will kill eachother. Rolling Eyes

Aw, that's too bad about the males...I mean, it is normal in the wild, but in your house it does present problems when you want to keep them all! How do you deal with the pooping in the house? Surprised

awww, poor baby... I was hoping that world war three wouldn't break out at your house so soon. Sad may be they might have the occasional tiff? I think I'm just dreaming here huh... I'm so sorry that they are already starting to fight.

Well, when I'm not home, they're in the laundry room, which is not carpeted or anything, so I just vaccume the room when I get home. And if I'm home I just pick up after them. Their poop is not messy at all like parrots, it's a lot dier and more solid, like little raisins Laughing

Yeah, I know the feeling Sad ... my only 'bird people' friends at this time live out of state or online.

My local friends don't dislike birds, but they don't have any interest in getting one, and for sure they can't relate to how bird crazed I am Laughing They can't quite understand why I'm like this Confused That's okay, at least they don't judge me for it.

Everyone likes mammals... but when you are bird crazy it makes you look like a freak! Laughing Laughing Laughing

I am lucky that I have two workmates that loves birds. but I guess only one of them will probably ever take in a bird though. The ohter one just loves bird watching, which is nice too as he tells me all the different birds in different areas.

My parents loves animals of all kinds which is nice coz they bird sits and animal sits all my animals when I go away. They have furred, feathered and scaled pets. Very Happy

Well my closest friend doesn't like any pets Laughing not even mammals. Not that she doesn't like animals, but she doesn't like the responsibilty of cleaning after animals and the smell. Once she had to babysit her sister's cat, and she was so miserable and hated every minute of it Laughing

And all my other friends like dogs or cats. The only person I know locally that loves birds as much as I do is my sister. We grew up in a house full of birds, so I guess it makes sense Razz

How recognizable! Laughing Funny to read that you're suffering too. Poor bird people.. Laughing

Years ago I was on a yahoogroup (Dutch one) One of the members had lost her bird to PBFD and she was crying behind the counter. (She was working in a supermarket) Customers asked her what was wrong. She didn't get much compassion. 'Oh it's just a bird' one said! Shocked
