Well, so far I have her Razz I don't know if you saw my other thread, but I was looking to buy another cage for my lovebirds, and put the doves in the flight cage.. well anyway, the cage I had in mind has been discontinued, so after searching for a while I finally ended up buying the same flight cage again Rolling Eyes it was on sale for a really good price... why am I telling you all this? Laughing If parent doves are able to live in the flight cage with this baby peacefully, then I will keep her Very Happy I'm hoping because it's such a huge cage, they won't be so territorial Rolling Eyes

I hope so too Bih. KeeshMeesh has started courting her Confused I really don't want inbreeding. Of course she's still too young, but he tries. The other day I was holding her and he tried to jump right on top of her. So I put my hand over her to cover her, and he did his business on my hand instead Confused Confused Confused Confused Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed So yeah... I can't leave her out of a cage when I'm not home, so I hope it works out in the flight cage Rolling Eyes

Rolling Eyes I know I know! I do need to get him a mate. I'm just scared to get any more birds now, because we're planning on selling our house soon and moving, so I'm scared to get anymore birds when I'm uncertain where I'll be living in a years time. Hopefully we'll know soon Very Happy

oh you're selling your house? really? wow, I hope you get a place that has a nice big yard and you're able to have aviary out back. Smile that'll be cool..

Oh well, I guess poor KM will have to keep 'trying his luck' with his sister... hehe...

or you can just let them go, and keep removing the eggs. that way, no babies can be hatched from it... you know, let her have the eggs, but give her mommy and daddy's egg to incubate like it's hers... I hope no one scream at me for this idea... hehe

Yeah we're selling the house soon hopefully. I CAN'T WAIT!!! I'm so sick of this house Rolling Eyes

I could do that, or just give her decoy eggs. But she's still too young for that Razz they reach sexual maturity at 6 months. She has no clue why KM keeps trying to jump on her Rolling Eyes Laughing

oh Yeah, I know she's too young, but then, may be just like budgies... they start 'practicing' way before they are matured... Smile

Do the budgies do that when they're young? Surprised With the baby doves I've noticed they have no clue what's going on Laughing If I remember correctly KM didn't start showing interest until he was like 5 months old.. but now it's ALL he thinks about Mad Mad typical male!!! Mad
