About the Ekkies personality and talking ability........Everyone knows that they will very from bird to bird. My little man, Petey, Is sitting here with me right now trying to help me type. He has an INCREDIBLE vocabulary, loves to shower with me before work, and sings like a dream. He associated wordls with actions. "I am hungry" means just what he said, or "give me some" If I am eating means he wants what I have. He tells me goodbye when I leave and Hello when I come home. When he throws his toys from his cage, he looks and says" ah-oh" I am so blessed to have such a great friend. |

Welcome to the forum.
Your little ekkie sounds like a real treasure!! Love to hear more about them! I was thinking of getting an ekkie, but decided against it as I hve heard that they are a lot more fussier with the things they eat and all that.. so yeah... but I'm happy with my cockatoo.. 
Good to have you here with us. I hope to see some pics of your baby.
