| Disinfecting?? |

I read in Bird Talk that once a week you should sterelize your birds food and water bowls. They suggest to fill a bowl or buket with hot water and add a very small amount of bleach soal the bowls and after, rinse them in BOILING hot water.I tried this once, but I litteraly boiled the bowls after soaking them in bleach. Is this a good and safe way to sterelize your birds belongings???? |

I use a plastic bowl for water, and a small porcelin saucer for his food. Why? is that bad? If those are not the appropriate dishes for birds then I'll defintly get new bowls |

no those are fine. You don't need to use boiling water really, just fairly hot water will do. Mix that with bleach. Make sure you rinse all bowls thoroughly after you've soaked the bowls in bleach mix solutions. |

yep it's perfectly safe to do so.
regarding feeding, start a new thread so people can see it and answer it, rather than having it here and people missing it. |
