| Help. found a baby bird!!! |
|
|
Hi,
Today I was on my way to school when I found s baby bird on the road. It's still a chick, but almost fully feathered. He's at school with me now, in an ice cream bucket with papaer towels, food and water. He flutters a little, but can't fly. Should I keep him at home and try feeding him until I can find a suitable home? I learned how to handfed a little while ago so I'll probably manage. I can also get some help from the pet store, so the main question, should I keep him for now?????????

How's it going?
I had a sparrow last year - I fed it wet cat food mixed with baby food, with a spoon fashioned from a straw. You will have to look into the food the particular bird eats. I fed her every few hours all day & kept her in a big shoe box with a lid - see my thread in my diary. They learn to fly quite early so be careful. Although they can fly they still need feeding for a while.

thank you for your time but, he died. I guess being dragged around a school for 6 hours was too much. I think he had a stroke. He was flapping around but he was tiered so I put him into the bucket to give him a break, when I took him out, he was completly paralized. and soaked. Thanks for all your advice but i guess there isn't anything I can do now |
