HELP!  Reply with quote

Hi
I have a query.
Harley cut his foot the other day, it is healing fine with no interventions, it's not deep more like a bad graze. Its not red, inflamed, infected etc

The problem is he's hardly eating, compared to what he usually eats its been two days now and i'm worried, he doesn't look feel any lighter and is happy in himself singing and talking as usual

His foot doesn't bother him haven't seen him touch it and its the foot he usually tucks up anyway.

I don't wanna take him to the vet because of his foot cause it's healing lovley. any ideas?

Thanks

Michelle and Harley Smile

i guess it is better to have him checked for a moment at the vet. try to weigh him and look if he is loosing weight. sometimes birds pretend they are fine, eventhough they are not. when you finaly find out they are ill, most of the time it is too late.

How is he doing?

Trauma might make a bird rest for a few days - but they should be eating & drinking like normal. Does he seem nervous around you - so you don't see him eating? Put only a small amount of food out & see if it is going down. Does he have any special foods he loves?

I hope all is well.
