How heavy is your bird?  Reply with quote

Hi all

Just thought I'd try to start some odd conversation going...

I just weigh Apollo right before his bedtime meal... he comes in at a whopping 625gm!! that's like an increase of about 15gm! he's growing big!! LOL...

So anyway, how heavy does your bird weigh? May be people can compare their birds to others...

cheers.

Last time Manu was weighted maybe a couple of months ago, he was 1160 gms. From what I understand, that's on the heavy side for a B&G. Hubby & I figured it out in lbs & it was either around 2 or 2 1/2 lbs Razz Sorry, grams just don't mean much to me at all, I'm rather old school Embarassed

I don't have a clue how much Poppy weighs, but it's certainly much, much less than 1160 gms!

I weigh Linus about 2x per week, usually before he has the fist meal of the day. He ranges from 395-410 grams. When we went ot the vet just before Chrstmas he weighed 408 grams and the vet aid he was a little bit fat. Smile

I don't know how much Picasso weighs, the vet said his weight was good last time we were in and I weighed myself the other day, once with and once without Picasso and the difference was somewhere between 1/2 to 1 kg, but he's nice and solid across the breast bone without being too solid, still I'd like to fatten him up a little more, just in case he gets sick.

Apollo is doing some exercise? Smile Working out, doesn't he?!
I think Zazu weighs around 380-390 grams. Iago weighs around 140 grams. Flit comes in at a whopping 68 grams! (He's quite a muscled little guy)
