how shocking is this!  Reply with quote

yesterday my mam said 2 me that she could have got me another parrot for free!
when i asked y it was free, she said it was off one of the lasses that work in the opposite care home than she does and she has got bored of him and wanted a african grey!
so she got the grey and is getting rid ov him!!!
well when i heard this i was gob smacked so i asked my mam if i could possibly have it.
at the moment there is already a home sorted for it one of my mams best friends husband wants it but they wont have it for long as she cant stand dust or the noise or anything she hates it when she comes round here and frankie gets abit vocal lol, so she said that if it 'does get vocal' (which it will) it will b gone so looks like im gonna have anova little angel! lol

i dunno what it is but i am gonna go and see it when they get it!
but its been given away with a big massive cage aswell, all because she got bored
how crule is that,

sami and franie

(sorry for the long post but it has really upset me and more so for the fact that she has gone and got anova one, but how long before she gets bored of that 1?)

That is really sad Sad I feel sorry for the African Grey, because they require a lot of patience and understanding, and it sounds like this woman hasn't got a clue, and only got the Grey cuz she thinks he'll entertain her Mad

I really hope you get the other bird soon Smile Let us know as soon as you find out what kind of parrot it is!

man it frustrate me to no ends when things like that happens. Why do people get bird when they don't know nothing bout them... I do feel sorry for the grey as well pure for the fact that it'll probably be rehomed as well! How sad to think about.

I hope you get that bird soon too if things doesn't work out for it. The only thing though I do feel sorry for that one since it'll be all confused trying to work out why it's being rehomed again when it doesn't work out at your mum's best friend's place.

Take care
Bih

well, i was talking to my mams mate yesterday and she said if she wanted a pet she would get a dog the reason she dont is because her and her boyfriend are both care assistants and work 8-8 most days of the week,
i mean i do bar work and i am at college but i still have plenty of time with frankie, (he is sat on my knee at the mo) lol
so she is talking with gary(her boyfriend) and trying 2 pursuade him 2 give up on the idea so i get him instead of swapping the poor little mite over again!

no luck i am afraid! he has just pick her up!
he popped past on his way home 2 pick his women up lol
i went to see her but it was 2 dark really for me to go and look for birds like her they told him 2nite that she was an amazon (which trust me she aint and i told him that 2!) they also told him that she attacted the grey! but theres no way shes only a dot then they said that it had a problem with women, yet she let me a female put my hand in her cage and sratch her head now if a bird dont like women and is frightened i harly doubt that it would let a lass anywhere near,
they have filled him full of bull 2 get rid ov her quick but i am going round 2moz 2 c her and am going to be going round quite alot to spend some time with her so that when the hange does happen which it will because of the hours they work! it will hopfully be easier fo her!
what else can i do, but i defo wont b neglecting frankie lol Very Happy
ill let you all no what happens 2moz

Oh bummer...

It's a good idea that you go and visit the bird regularly for when the change happen again for the poor bird. Good luck, I hope it all works out well for the little birdie's sake.

Crying or Very sad How many animals in this world were and are just tossed aside because the people " don't want them anymore". I can't believe that we do this to animals that we take into our homes, we feed and love them and then just throw them away when we want to. Rolling Eyes Aren't we suppose to be the smart ones?dana Crying or Very sad

That is really sad. I sure hope you can get the bird soon. I hate it when I have to hear things like that, as I lost 5 of my babies. Crying or Very sad

How sad. Did the lady end up getting the African Grey? I feel bad for the bird she doesn't want and the Grey if she gets one. She should have done some real research. Not just on what the bird can do for her either. I mean real bird care.

Good luck getting the bird she no longer wants.
