| Maggies Vet Visit |
|
|
I took Maggie to the vet today. She told me she had a very irregular heart beat. She told me I could take her to the animal hosptial if I want to know why but there is really nothing they can do. She suggested changing her diet as for heart patients but Maggie is the one who I can't really get to eat anything. Other than that everything else was normal. She said it could even be because of the new home and excitement. Has anyone heard of this? any positive outcomes?????????
I just lost casey (my grey) to a heart attack.......... |

Hi!
Oh Lord, I bet you're very concerned! What kind of vet was it, was it an avian vet? I can't imagine an avian vet couldn't do more to find out why the irregular heartbeat!
What kind of diet is she on? I'm no Dr or vet, but if she's been with you for more than even a day, I wouldn't think she'd be having irregular heatbeats due to the change. |

She is a avian vet. She could do more test there in her office. She said could be low calcium levels. But suggested I take her to Knoxville TN to the Avian Collage hospital. I have an appointment on Monday

Well I'm glad to hear you're taking her in for more tests, be sure to let us know how it goes.
Will she eat almonds? I think they're high in calcium.
Good luck! |
