I was watching the movies with Adago. They are awesome. He is awesome. What training book or tape do you recommed so I can teach my Senny those tricks? What was that tubular thing and what were you feeding him? I would love to try that. Its had to find a training treat for him. He likes those little fruit bites, I have been using those. So far he shakes hands, turns around when I say "Do a twirlie bird" and he will lay flat in my hand when i say "Who's a lazy bird?" He's also somewhat potty trained. He's a good listener. I think I would have success in teaching the other tricks if i knew how. Oh, and the snow video? I can put him in the snow? Everyone makes it sounds like they will die if they are exposed to cold! I always wondered because they do have down coats people! I am sure they cant stay in the snow, but it would be fun to try. But here int he midwest we are having a dry season. No snow for us! Bummer. When I started skiing it quick snowing here. |

Hi, Fluffy Sue has Iago. I think she was feeding him baby bird formula.
I am not Sue, so I'll let her tell you about Iago |

Hi Pizansmom...
I'm not sure about teaching tricks, but with the snow... it's ok for birds to be out there, but provided that they aren't on the snow for too long. I guess just think of all the wild birds in the snow... they do alright, provided that they have the right adaptation and all that. |

I'm sorry for my late reply! I think you mean Iago, my Senegal?
Thanks for the kind words about his movies..
I haven't got a training book that I used for his tricks, I just bought the cubes and there was a training leaflet coming with it. It's very very handy and very easy. I skipped some steps because Iago is quite willing to pick up objects.
That's sooo cute that you have learned your birdy so many tricks too. Especially the lazy birdy one.
The thing I'm feeding him is baby formula from Harrison. (Harrison juvenile) They sometimes get this as a treat. I can make it a little thicker and make small balls of it too. All my birds like it!
About the snow: Please don't let your bird in the snow when it's very very cold. Or when it's in very bad condition..
I let my birds in the snow for 10 minutes, not longer. Else their feet might get too cold. |
