| chicken love! |
|
|
Hi All,
I remember someone mentioning a few weeks ago that they love chooks (chickens!) ? Well I think my dear little Pilot (Rainbow Lorrie) does too I am housesitting a vet's farm for a month at the moment and he came across his first ever chook (through the window) Well he was so shocked by these bizarre sounding/looking birds that he nearly fell off his swing. But now he loves them. There are about 60 of them and each morning after I let them out they run past his window and he squawks and squeals and jumps all over the place. I think he is completely facinated by them. And just like him they don't fly Unfortunately I can't let him outside to see them up close because they own 4 enormous farm cats that I'm sure would love to have him for brekkie anyway i will get some pics soon. |

Those lorikeets are funny, mine used to jump on people when I took them out, someone would be innocently walking down the street then, boom, they'd have a lorikeet on their shoulder trying to pick their nose, lucky people thought it was funny, they were a handful.
Picasso likes chickens too (not the birds just BBQed) if only he knew where it came from! |

Oh chooks... and how Apollo fear them!! LOL... that little goofball I tell ya... everytime I let my chooks out for a wonder round the yard, and they walk up past the side door where Apollo's cage sit, Apollo would yell so very loud like something is really gonna get him or something!! It is really funny. He's seen them many many times, but boy I tell ya, it's the same every single time!! LOL.. he's just too funny!!
Glad to hear that Pilot loves those chooks. I just love those rainbows... Beautiful creatures they are. |

| more chook fun |

Its soo funny. Last night I took Pilot for a walk out and about (I kept an eye out for the cats ) and I suddenly had 60 chooks chasing after me right at my ankles wanting to get there daily feed of wheat. Pilot got so excited he was running back and forth across my shoulders squealing at them. He loved it. I think he wanted to jump down and join them. Then we went to visit the horse. He didn't like that much tho. He was hiding behind my hair and peeking through. Bit to big and scary for my little Pi. I promise to send some photo's soon |

Hey Fi, did you have shoes with shoe laces on? The juvinile chickens used to go nuts over my laces they'd be all over my feet attacking them I'd come out of the pen and my shoes would be an unthreaded mess, It was funny to watch others go in and have their feet covered by chickens in a frenzy, I guess they thought they were worms! |
