fianllyyyyyyyyyyyy we have a male in the house lol ,just piced him up today been saveing bucks and looking for awhile now, he is 6 months old and what a sweety he says a few words to , we named KC , heres some pics , I have a Question though do Eclectus have a musky smell to them? I wasn't sure so he took a nice shower today

Congratulations on getting KC. Nice pictures he for sure does look good and has already a beautiful candycorn color beak. KC is just a little older than my youngest couple of ekkies. I can imagine you are totally in love with him.

Lots of people (although not everyone dares to admit this) like the smell of their ekkie. Also not every eclectus smells the same. Has also to do with the foods they are eating. But I like the smell of my 4 ekkies special after they had a shower. They are than so fresh and "special".

But as other animals and us humans, the eclectus likes to have a regular bath or otherwise being sprayed. This is also good for him in taking care of his feathers.

Oh my! How adorable is that!

It was an eclectus that was one of the first birdies, years and years ago, owned by a friend, that made me first daydream of being a parront! A female named Rita! She was too funny!
