This is so funny that I had to tell everybody about it....

I am an amputee, I have one leg below the knee removed. I get around fine, but my leg makes a squeakie nosie when I walk. We have not figured out who yet, but you can guess the what Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Twice now Carrie has thought I was home from work, and just today she thought I was in the bird room and she was just talking away and I was no where near the bird room..

Misty is for sure one of the culprits as I caught the little stinker at it. Cody may be doing it to but I haven't caught him at it. This morning Misty said "come here, give me a kiss you little brat"......... thanks to hubby calling her brat all the time but what can I say, since she finally started flying she is so full of herself and yes she is a little "brat"..... I'm not real sure how to reply to this. I am sorry to hear about your leg John, but it's very funny that the birds are mimicing the noise you make! And I'm really laughing about Carrie talking to you when you weren't even there Laughing I catch myself doing that often Laughing Course, I do it becuz my hubby knows how to quietly leave a room without me knowing it Confused

Don't worry about it, (I don't) the leg has been this way for so many years it is just as much a part of me as any other parts,,,, I mean "Parts are Parts" Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing
I just thought it was funnny...about Misty and Carrie carrying on a conversation with a sound effect....

Smile It's similar to the story when they were trying to treat a coughing parrot not knowing that her previous owner had chronic emphysema so the parrot learned how to make a coughing noise Laughing
Cathy your post reminded me... don't you find it embarassing when you're out shopping with somebody and they move further away and you keep talking... The strangers look at you as if you were nuts talking to yourself Laughing It happened to me more than once... Once I also started talking to a stranger not lifting my head thinking that it's my friend... People sure look at you funny when it happens Laughing

Lol, you just reminded me of a case of mistaken identity I had myself.. I was just a small child at the time (probably about 6 or 7) and we were at the store with my grandparents. I got distracted, as kids often do and almost lost them, then saw some familiar colored pants (that my grandfather was wearing that day) around the corner. I ran up and gave that leg a big hug, only to look up and see a complete stranger Laughing Gave us both a big scare Laughing Laughing

Hey John.. I have difficulties responding to this topic. On one hand I find it very funny, one of the birds mimicing, but on the other hand I feel sorry for your leg.. Embarassed

Sue,

Don't even think about feeling sorry, I don't. I still have two legs. I bought and paid for one so I know it is mine.... Laughing Laughing Laughing

Carrie was almost mad at me for not being there, but I think she was more embrassed then anything else.... Carrying on a conversation with a sound effect, I bet if Misty realized what she was doing, she would have been unable to stop laughing....
