I have been waiting to tell about my newest family member.. (I wanted to wait until his test results were in: PBFD, polyoma & chlamydia. He's also been isolated from my other birds)
His name is Scuttle and he's named after the sea gull in Disney's the Little Mermaid.
He's a hawkhead and he sounds just like a sea gull LOL! |

I saw a hawkhead named Jenny in a pet store, one of the ones that gets really rare and expensive parrots...she was beautiful and adorable, but cost a lot!
Scuttle is adorable! When are you going to add Scuttle and Wheezy to the main page? When are they getting their homepages?
He has such a little ruff..so cute when displaying!!
You are the first hawkhead parront here!!! I want one..*sigh* |

Oh Sue, he IS beautiful I LOVE the crest!!
congratulations!!!
Boy, it does look like he's got a very big beak! Is it too personal to ask how much Scuttle cost? Just wondering if they are pretty high priced. Aren't they somewhat rare, or at least uncommon? |

Thanks Cathy! He has quite a crest, doesn't he?
Zazu doesn't seem to appreciate the other 'crested' bird in the house. Or?? He's quite fascinated by Scuttle!
They aren't very rare over here. They just aren't seen as pets very often.
Can I send you a pm about Scuttle's costs? |

Was the hawkhead you saw in the petstore a girl? They're more rare. Scuttle is a boy.. (Just like the rest of the flock)
I need to add Scuttle & Wheezy to the main page, don't I? I think I'm a bit busy lately. Or should i call it.. Lazy?
If you ever decide to adopt a hawkhead, I would first read about them. Scuttle has a big personality. He can behave a bit intimidating at times..
(And he was the mellow one of the clutch) |
