Most of us do all of these I think, but how do you spend the majority of your time with your birds? |

I generally hold and gives Apollo cuddles, but when he's with his daddy, they tend to play one on one more.. so playtime with daddy, and cuddle time with mommy. |

I guess it's mostly a one on one type of thing when I hold Manu & Jennie. I either bring them out one at a time to play on the couch with me, or into the kitchen while I'm preparing meals. A lot of the time Manu is on his tree in the living room when I bring Jennie out to play on the couch. And I also spend quite a bit of time in the bird room, talking to & giving them scritches, holding them. |

Well the majority of the time that I'm with the birds, they play independantly while I'm in the same room. Out of 6-8 hours together for example, I spend about 1-2 hours one on one time with them playing or cuddling. |

I couldn't really pick just one I fuss with them like their babies They do just about everything with me. I include them with my everyday activities. Just like today, I washed my car and took them outside with me, Honda was on my shoulder (because he was a bit nervous about the whole thing), and had Chaquita on one of her portable perches talking to them the whole time. It's kinda sad, for my family that is, cause I spend more time with the birds and fussing with them than I do them |

Pi and Norman generally come everywhere with me when they are out. They usually sit on my shoulder (till I get tired of wiping up all the liquid lorrie poop ) Or I just put them down on something. Be it in the kitchen, bathroom, outside on the balcony etc. They never stay where I put them tho but I'm sure everyone has that problem Because there are two of them, they are happy to entertain each other while I am busy. |

I really do all that is on the list. I don't hold Arwin that much as she does not like it, Sam loves scritches but not cuddles, Emmie and Kiwi love to cuddle so they are generally hanging somewhere on me when I am home. The tiels are a bit too flighty to get out much but they love to be talked to. |

Most of the time I spend with them is in the same room, while they are doing their 'bird stuff'. I try to spend at least 1 hour of play time with them, where we interact, play games etc. |

Well I think I spend most of the time with them being in one room while they play. But I also walk with them (little trips) and they can last up to 3 hours. (Lately, most of the time)
Sometimes longer.
I also play with them: Trying to teach them something.
At the moment I don't do much with Flit. He's still recovering. |

I spend almost all of mine and Merlins time together just being in the same room while he hangs out on his gym. It is what makes him the happiest, as I don't think he will ever be a cuddly lovey bird. He still won't let me give him scratches without biting and no way could I hold him and cuddle him. We have games that we play together that don't involve me touching him and he has a hand perch that he will step-up onto willingly to be transported all over the house, but he just isn't a people kinda bird. My main concern is to make HIM happy, not to make ME happy. I didn't bring him here to be my companion, I brought him here so I could give him a hppier life, and well, he is one happy bird now! |

Ah, that's SO true Sherwoods! And Merlin is obviously a very loved & happy bird!
Almost like my 'tiel Poppy, he can't be handled at all! But he rarely even ventures from his cage. But I think he's happy with his life & that is what counts! |

I think taking birds for walk seems like a great idea.
get them exposed to new people, environment and things all the time
I'll remind myself and hop to do more of this! |
