| Unidentified Species...HELP!! |
|
|
My Uncle has found a parrot.
He said it was about the size of a pigeon, and is grey, but red around the eyes. I thought it might be just an ordinary pigeon, but he's sure it's a parrot. I really don't know what species it is, and I
might
take it in. I want to learn about the species and the personality of that kind of bird. So...I REALLY need you help! If you know a species of bird anything like the description, please tell!
Description
1. Size of a pigeon
2. Grey Body
3. Red around the eyes
So...thanks in advance!!!

What country does your uncle live in? Where did he find it, meaning is it someones lost pet? Are the wings clipped?
By red around the eyes, do you mean like a thin red eye ring like these guys for example http://www.diamonddove.info/04.....20hand.jpg or is there a patch around the eye that's featherless, that's red, like this for example: http://www.malawicichlidhomepa.....37wtmk.jpg (only red)
Does it have a hookbill?
Is it grey all over, aside from the red around the eyes? Wings, tail, belly, all grey?
A picture would be really helpful |

You know..I really don't know....my uncle just called us to tell us about the porrot. I'll ask him, but I'll have to translate all that into Chinese...which is easy for me...
He lives in Brooklyn, New York City, New York, the NorthEast part of the United States. I'll ask him all the questions, but I actually never saw the birdie. But, I think it's grey all over. Once again, not sure. Thanks a whole lot shirin though!!!! For your effort too, I really appreciate it! |

Ok Amanda I'll be waiting to see what your uncle says, I'm quite intrigued to find out what kind of bird it is To be honest with you I've never seen a grey parrot other than the African grey, so my guess is it might be some other type of bird. We'll have to wait and see |
